After initiating a post Give me all your excuses....1989..VB...Jet*...Impulse.. (http://pprune.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=166708) which I believed might have set a course for "clearing the air" on some issues that consistently raise their heads, one of the Woomera decided that because s/he felt it was 1989-orientated, AND contained "the 'S' word" ...apparently in his/her vocab, the word "SCAB" is a no-no (perhaps by association?)..........that it should be thread-locked.

I believed that the thread had the POTENTIAL to create a BETTER understanding between the Australian airline pilot groups - even though it might have meant a little bit of "muddy water" being flushed through at first.

To tell you the truth, I'm now feeling highly disillusioned with some (not all) of those holding the "Power of Woomera", and wonder if THEY really have the best interests of Australian pilots at heart, by suppressing a debate that I - having been here at PPRuNe almost since its inception - believe I have a "feel" for.

Slasher left for a similar reason - I feel similarly inclined to do so, which I know will be welcomed in "certain quarters".
All comments, criticisms, suggestions are welcomed.

I thought Slasher left because everyone wanted him to leave...

Didn't he hold some kind of popularity poll to see if people liked him or not and then base his actions purely on the supposed majority opinion?

Are you gonna do the same El Kapitano??? :E ;)

PS: "Since inception".... that's a lot of hours in front of PC/out of sun. Scary.
