Hiya Guys

Does anyone know how to post photos on this wonderful site?

You need to find a site that'll host your pics. Try Photobucket (http://www.photobucket.com), then you paste the link of the pic into the IMG funcion above the window in which you type your message on pprune and voila. That should do the trick.

This, from elsewhere on Pprune:

NB:Before you can post a picture on PPRuNe, it has to be on a website already - whether your own or someone else's.

Picture already on a website:
It will have an URL (the unique 'address' of that pic on the web)
To find the URL (using Windows):
Right-click on the picture and select 'Properties'
You'll see lots of info, including the URL.
Highlight and Copy the entire URL.
NB: Always highlight from the beginning or you may not get the full URL if it's long.

Picture on your hard disk/you don't have a website:

Use a photo-hosting site like PhotoBucket.com which seems to be the best. It's reliable and the basic free service is perfectly adequate. It allows direct linking - some photo-hosting services don't. Once you've loaded your picture, it will give you the URL - or you can use the procedure described above. It also allows you to reduce the size of any pics which are too big for the PPRuNe web page.

To post the pic on PPRuNe:
Begin to post as normal.
Click the IMG button - one of the buttons above the text box.
A dropdown menu will appear.
Copy the URL into the address line as instructed.
Click OK.
Add whatever text you wish and Submit.

Note:
Some websites don't allow direct linking to their sites. If so, the picture won't display when you try to post it here.

Common Problem:
Picture doesn't display/a link appears
Edit your post.
Check to see if 'URL' appears anywhere in the web address of the picture.
If it's there at all, it will be there twice.
Remove both.
(You've used information from the URL, but those letters should not appear in the final address or you'll get a link instead of a picture.)

NB: Pictures should be 800x600 pixels maximum.
