Douglas DC-3 Nostalgia Flights

The demand for nostalgia flights aboard the DC-3 is overwhelming. Four flights were undertaken on the 19th of February and there is still high demand for more and as a result more flights are being arranged.

Take a trip down memory lane with a 20-minute flight in a beautifully restored Douglas DC-3 Dakota, ZS-GPL, over some of the suburbs of Johannesburg. The routing will follow Rand Airport, Gold Reef City, The Dome at Northgate, Sandton City, Wanderers Sports Ground, Rand Airport.

Passengers will board from TAC (Transvaal Aviation Club) at Rand Airport. Entrance to TAC is in Russell road, 30 metres from the intersection with Rand Airport road. The SAA Museum Society display hall at TAC will be open as well as the souvenir shop. Refreshments are available in "Runway Retreat" at TAC. Sparkling wine & snacks will be provided for passengers before the flight.
