With all due respect ....How long is a piece of string ???. .. .Depends upon your licence issue State ! Is it Oz , JAA, FAA etc etc. .What is your experience on jets > 25 tons?. .. .JAA ( especially UK) licence is common here so they are used at the CAD to dealing with it. Usually have to do AK Airlaw, Performance A and Type perf &Type examination.. .. .ANy company you join will provide the training and it is well done so relax !!!

Guys and Gals,. .. .I do not know if this is true but I hear you will not be given a HK license (commercial +) unless you are hired by an airline in HK.. .. .I also hear the papers (written tests) are no good without the flight license.. .. .It is not the easiest of place to hold their license, even when they "try" to expand their GA.. .. .Best of luck to all out there, including me....

Cx sent me a letter, for the SO position.. .Complete ATP writtens and come back to us.. .Does that mean FAA ATP is valid with CX.

Hi All. .. . I have TT almost 1000 hours now. HKCAD send me the conversion term with 8 written exams have to do and 2 flight test. FAA ATPL written exam is their requirment that you have to have. I am studying right now, it's real pain for all those paper. And they will convert your CPL to CPL and you have to do all the exams again once on ATPL.. .. .Happy flying. . . . [ 29 March 2002, 06:08: Message edited by: PA32-300 ]

Been there. .. . The HK license have to be have an airline to prehire, then the airline will send all your experiences to HKCAD for the conversion terms. You cannot do CPL privately. The only license you can take privately is PPL only.. . I am holding FAA CPL with ~1000 hours with result from HKCAD that I have to take following subject:. . . .Human Performance. .Performance (Transport). .Performance & Tech (Type). .Electrics & Auto Flight. .Airframe System. .Engines. .Air Law . .Loading. .. . If you holding FAA license and you better to well prepare those subject. Or get the FAA FE to get the basic idea before you take further study above. That's what I did the same way. It's only a little help but better than nothing.. .. .Happy Flying. . . . [ 29 March 2002, 13:34: Message edited by: PA32-300 ]
