Does Emirates provide maternity leave? If not, what if you want to come back and fly? Go through the whole selection process all over again? Just trying to find this information for a friend.

Hi there. No EK does not provide maternity leave for cabin crew at this time but I think they are looking into it. Many crew have rejoined after having their baby but they can only rejoin only if they had a good record previously. In most cases you would have to rejoin in a grade lower, but this depends on how long you have left for...if its over a couple of years I would think you have to start at the bottom again but each case will be judged individually. When you rejoin you get issued a new staff number etc and lose all perks you had previously until you reach that entitlement again.
