Is it possible to do a full, intensive cpl course i.e from 0 hours to employment status in somewhere like canada or the us so it will be cheaper than doing an equivalent course at somewhere like oxford for example. I know there are places that do jaa ppl courses abroad for cheap but does this also apply to fully intensive courses, and also how much cheaper is it likely to be?

Cheers

Hi Nick

Have you considered doing ICAO instead of JAA. By this I mean doing PPL and hour building in the states, canada, S.africa :). It will save you some money as the ICAO licence tends to be cheaper than JAA. Once this has been completed, with the class 1 medical (which I suggest you get ASAP) and the ground school you can then return to the UK and do the JAA CPL and Multi IR. I did my PPL here in SA and have to say the training is great. Its also cheaper than doing it in Canada or the states. If you would like more info just PM me.

Hope this helps
