self sponsored type rates

hi every body ;

I am a new graduated pilot having 250 hours CPL/IR , ME LAND looking for any opportunity to have a job and i ask if there is any way to have a contract with any company on a basis that i will self sponsor my type rate ????????????

Mate, your probably wasting your time in Asia. Almost every company in Asia wants at least 500 hours on type and a minimum of 1000 hour total, but 2000 is probably closer to average.

Not to mention the moral issues of paying for your type rating.

Try Gulfstream Airline in Florida, they have this pay for training program that they will train you in their aircraft and hire you as an FO after completion of training.

Zero Flight Time rating with 250 hours will not do you any good here in Asia. You rather spend those money in building your total hours instead.

There are MANY MANY airlines in the world that require you to pay for your training/type ratings. With the rise in low cost carriers the amount of airlines doing this will rise. Paying for training is becoming the norm in many ways, look at Southwest Airlines in the USA. You cannot work there unless you pay for your own type ratings. There is massive line of experienced pilots waiting for that job.

I personally would rather an employer pay the bill if at all possible.

True, Gina is correct!

But don't rush to pay for it before you secure an employment or any agreement. That will minimize the risk of wasting money.

Imagine you get a zero flight time rating and wait for over a year to get a job, properly you have to do it again.
