Hey all! I'm looking to buy a performance manual for a different approach to the ATPL performance exam.

I have looked at the Oxford manuals available from Transair but I am a little unsure as to which one to get. There are two books, one called "Manual 6 - Flight Performance & Planning Part 1" and the other is called "Manual 7 - Flight Performance & Planning Part 2". Which one is most relevant to the performance exam?

Thanks:ok:

Fergal,

Pressman is quite correct.

Just for your information manual 6 covers Perfomance and Mass and Balance. Manual 7 covers what you need to know for the Flight Planning examination.

If you haven't already, take a look at "Aircraft Performance Theory for Pilots". The author is P.J. Swatton and is a very worthwhile buy indeed.
