- German Efromovich, owner of the Brazilian regional Ocean Air (and Bombardier representative on Brazil) has reportedly bought 29 F-100, ex-AA, at a price tag of US$ 70 million.
Sources say he will distribute them between his companies, Avianca (Colombia), Vipsa (Ecuador) and maybe Ocean Air (brazil) although there are no certain words on the last one - just rumours. :8

- Meanwhile GOL has increased her options in her purchase of 737NG. Last year GOL has made an order of 43 of these planes and now with the increasing in option this number has summed up to 63 planes with deliveries intended to occur between 2006 and 2010.

Thatīs affirmative, fellow Magala.... Iīve also read that Gol recently received authorization to fly to Santa Cruz de La Sierra, in Bolivia, in a regular basis... this will be the companyīs second scheduled international destination. Supposedly the airline will start the flights to Santa Cruz by the end of this current semester.

So.... letīs see what happens....! Hope that more international destinations are approved soon!

GOL will start to fly to Santa Cruz de La Sierra in the first semester of 2005.
Also they are pretending to fly to Montevideo (Uruguay) and Asuncion (Paraguay) in 2005.

The ex-AA F-100s will be split between Avianca, Wayra (Peru) and Ocean Air. Juan Emilio Posada, the former head of Avianca, is now head of all of Eframovich's airline interests.

There was an article over the weekend on Terra.cl about GOL expanding to CCS, BOG and SCL in the near future. I am sure all/most Latin capitals are on their road map, it's just a matter of when. GOL is is no short of financial backers, they are a Wall St. sweetheart, well outperform the airline sector of publicly traded companies and their CFO is an ex- Goldman Sachs vp who is a displaced gringo in Brazil.

There was some talk, though I don't how much stock to put into it, about GOL seeking a MAO-MIA frequency.

Either way, these guys are very well run and organized.

You can catch a replay of their presentation at the Raymond James Growth Airline Conference here. (http://www.mz-ir.com/webcast/gol/gac/?e)
