Have heard through the grapevine that due to
excessive shortages in training staff that CX is not conducting final interviews until further notice. Can anyone confirm this?

You can have a month off between ground school and line training.

Join Cathay now and have a 6 weeks, expenses paid, holiday at the companies expense. The company has sooo much money to waste and yet we take another pay cut this year. Great Management.

Let me get this right.....

The company have no C&T staff on either the Airbus or Boeing fleets to spare, therefore no training. However, they are still taking people through the final interview, giving them the bugsmasher courses and heavy jet ground school and then ..... pulling the handbrake on all their new pilots and giving them 6 weeks off on S/O pay rather than commencing line training?? http://www.pprune.org/ubb/NonCGI/eek.gif

Unbelieveable! http://www.pprune.org/ubb/NonCGI/redface.gif

six weeks is not that bad when you compare it to Brymon Airways. Out of my course of six, 2 went straight through the training, I had sims booked one or two sessions at a time with gaps of over six weeks eventually doing the final line check after 5 and a half months and the other 3 qualified for one world staff travel before they even had flown the aircraft at all. During this time more courses were started every month with similar stories as well. The words pissup and brewery come to mind.
