Sorry if this is on the wrong board

I need some info on Operating costs (direct & indirect) for Fokker 50s, Embraer 135/145 or similar aircraft and if possible a link.

Seems like most of this information is available but after paying $500! Something i can't do.

Any help much appreciated

I don't have any data on these types but the costs vary so much, depening on the type of ops you're doing and the airline infrastucture under which they are operating, that your question is virtually impossible to answer. Try rephrasing it with a few more details like stage length, fuel price (where in the world will they operate) will maintenance be in-house or subed out?... Are the EMB aircraft new and therefore with very little fuel burn degradeation and new-aircraft maintenance costs. Or are they - like the F70/F100 - getting a little bit tired with ever-rising fuel and maintenance costs and ever-reducing reliability - which costs money.

Indirect costs are, by their very nature, independant of aircraft type and wholly dependant on the airline. Just compare BA and Ryanair. One cares for the customer and is staffed for that purpose and thus has indirect costs that are quite high. The other has very low indirect costs. Both business models have their place but they are two extremes that illustrate the point.

I hope someone can help.

The ACMI rate for an Embraer 145 about $1700 per hour. Fokker 50/ATR rates are circa $1400. You will need to add fuel, airport and en route charges. Numbers do vary with utilisation and average sector length. Advise if you need any more.

In order to obtain accurate data you will need to pay a consultancy to carry out a cost analysis, unless you have insider information. Airlines are very careful about who they give their costs to, and as is already suggested, costs vary significantly according to the operation. Manufacturers will give ballpark figures which you should be able to obtain, however, they don't necessarily reflect the actual operating costs accurately.

$1700 for an ERJ 145 seems very low. Would be interested to know where you have obtained that information WOD-DET-DVR?

Its for a theoretical new carrier from LCY as part of uni project.

Aimed squarely at Business pax

Managed to find some figures from the FAA but 8 years old! Gives a cost per airborne hour of $1182 for an ATR42.

EMB135 nigh on impossible to get any direct/indirect costs

Fokker 50s most sites just comment on the Operating cost in comparison to other a/c.

I'm also assuming all maintenance contracted out.

Trouble is i need sites to reference to!

Typical routes would be LCY > newcastle,Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Munich, Glasgow.

Never mind the cost, think you might have trouble getting a F50 or EMB135 out of LCY due to the runway length. Try an RJ100 or DHC8.

On the contrary, Fokker 50’s go in everyday… not heard of VLM? As for EMB135, Jet Magic had them certified for ops into LCY.
