I've heard that NFTC treat you like gods cos you're Brits.

+Gucci jets

+/-Away from UK

+Gargantuan training area

+Near Edmonton (great city)

+Early experience of working with NATO allies

-According to some 19 refresher nails when you get back as rev bombing etc.

-Rumours that people struggled with IRTs (especially on GR4) having NFTCed.

Also heard good and bad bout 19 (FEAR) Sqn

+Taught in style which you will later employ

+If happy on Anglesey then no upheaval.

+Once passed, refresher not scary

-Nails

-If ya don't like North West Wales.....

-/+Old Hawk all rev. (Used to flying it and good "first principles" grounding).

Those are thoughts from what I've heard around the OCUs.

Got that all to come as well.

If this hold will ever end.

Sounds like something new to me as, until April 1, NFTC= Nimrod Flight Trials Crew and has done since before the Canadian imposter arrived:O :O

I think Turbine is referring to the Canadian interpretation of 'near' with respect to Edmonton.

I would also take issue with 'great city'! But I guess it's what you get used to - after a while Edmonton does seem like (if not a great) a reasonable city.

Cold Lake is different and it's a chance to escape from the RAF for a while. You'll have plenty of chance to shoot and bomb things later.

Good points made TTH.

But I heard you have a great boss! He should be the very reason you ramble out of the mess and into work in the mornings!;)
