Heard through the grapevine that UA will be hiring non-US nationals and sponsoring them for a green card. (Can anyone confirm or deny?)
It will be fun next year to watch CX mis-management in pandemonium when 50 to 100 guys leave for 'greener' pastures.

Ah yes, the perennial green card for pilots urban legend...

This subject alternates on the main PPRuNe board with the other thread about how screwed up things are in America <g>. Lower standards, higher pay etc...

Indeeeeeed!!!!

Over on "rumors&news", one of the most popular topics are: "How to obtain a green card" and/or "How to screw Atlas pilots".

Also, what do you think thousands of RJ pilots in US whould say/do if UA starts sponsoring "green cards" or work visas?
Once again, there is no pilot shortage among US majors, sorry to burst the bubble....

UA has many, many pilots hired without training slots. New hires are about 90 days from training. 80 per month is now down to 28 per month. I think the green card rumor should be put to bed once and for all.
