I am a 1-stripper (a newbie too) and obviously, the lowest life form, but I have an idea. It may be a stupid idea and it may be naive thinking but try it. We have many pilots based in Canada and the US, and they are employed by Veta, CXF, ASL, AHK or whatever it is called today. Can these pilots not form a union under the ALPA banner? As they are employed by a US company and unionized under ALPA, they should be "protected" by the US labour law. ALPA is a far more effective group than the AOA IMHO and ALPA should be able to negotiate better deals for the US based pilots which in turn will benefit everyone else.

According to InUSAandObserving, who seems to know quite a bit about everything, you aren't protected in the US either.
