Just wondering what the situation is like at Airasia?

e.g

1, Do they hire expats?

2, Are they really as down to earth as the website says?

3, What sort of hour requirements are FO's expected to have?

4, 73 endorsement required?

5, Industry reputation?

6, Surely not all the flight attendants can be that hot?!

sorry to be a nuisance but i don't access to this sort of info!

any info will be greatly appreciated.

Saw a letter from Air Asia to a NZ pilot applying for an F/O job and he had a 737-300 type rating. In brief the letter said thanks for your interest but no thanks. And that only instant captains being hired as they have a long queue of locals all waiting their turn to be hired as new F/O's.

I've been hearing lots of expats voices on the radio on AA flights. A close up on one of their blue tail planes showed a G- registration? Are they leasing those 733s with crew or what? Could anyone feedback on this?

Syrian,

I know they are "damp leasing" (Aircraft and tech crew) two 733s from UK charter company Astraeus.

I don't know if they have any other leasing arangements on at the moment.

The expat voices are of EagleJet and Parc Aviation pilots. They will eventually get less and less.
I have heard that AirAsia will stop accepting these guys and girls, because of the difficulties getting them flying (i.e License Validations, work permits and so on!)

But rumors are never enough for a conviction.
