View Full Version : Safe.... maybe, but Legal?
On an earlier post, someone mentioned three crew ops to Aus, with an S/O under training. If the F/O is not a training F/O, (or a training Capt operating RHS) then is this legal? If not, then is it being reported to the CAD?

I Flew with a captain that was supposed to be on this rostered duty, said he was going to get no rest, as the SO was under training? maybe further investigation is needed!

Not legal at all. Cannot do more than 8 hours in the seat and any Aus flight to BNE, SYD or MEL/ADL will need more. When I have done such a flight it has always been with a four man crew.
just flew down to Oz with an F/O under training. We had 4 crew to make it a legal flight.
Crewing a long haul flight with 2 S/Os!!

Is it a nice advertisement song?

I may have been one of the above, and yes, I asked if it was legal, and was told that it was.
gurrka, perhaps an anon. call to the CAD to clarify the issue wouldn`t go astray?
