"In the Shadow of the Blade" is to be broadcast on the Military Channel at 8PM (US East Coast time) on 3 FEB 05.....definitely a show to view if you can.
I can understand the emotions the old Huey brings to Vietnam Vets....during the summer Air Show season last year....used to see guys standing off a bit from the Huey we had on display....remembering times long ago. So many of them were visibly moved to be around the aircraft again. That made the shows worthwhile.
The program recounts the trip of a "091" as it flies around the country on its way to the Aviation and Space Museum in Washington, DC. where it will be on permanent display.
