A wonderful day out was had by all at North Weald on Saturday as a guest of the Hangar 11 Collection.

The day was arranged by the collections owner so the Medway Aircraft Preservation Society could have a look at their handy work on Spitfire PL965 for the first time since she left them in the early 1990’s.
She is currently undergoing winter maintenance in the hanger but it is hoped that she will be airworthy in the next month or so.

At the same time Beech Staggerwing G-BRVE and Mustang Jumpin Jacques were parked outside the hangar in the morning sun.

All in all a cracking day out, very nice to meet the men from MAPS and hear their stories and good to see Yakrider up and about again.
Finally a very big thank you to Peter Teichman for allowing me to fulfil a dream I have had since I was eight years old. The grin is still wide on my face.
