Understand that GWA has gone into administration, although, they will continue to operate in the short term under administration. Hope there is enough money in the kitty to pay out the staff in the event that it ceases all together.
Wonder if Rex or ASA will pick up the $25 fares?

GWA aren't the owners of FWA so it aint going to do AD Airport any good to keep it chained. In fact it's illegal to interfere with an aircraft so they may be in a world of legal hurt! Especially you would think from the owner who, no doubt, wants his aeroplane back! AD are going to have to line up like the rest of the unfortunate creditors for their few cents in the dollar and maybe in future keep a tighter reign on how far they let struggling operater's credit blow out.

Regional carrier Great Western Airlines has collapsed with debts of more than $150,000 and 33 jobs lost. The airline operated its final flight in South Australia last night before the company's voluntary administrator put the business on the market today. The airline called in administrator Graeme Lean, from Perth-based firm GT Lean and Associates, last week.

The decision to sell the business, which leased its aircraft and is now little more than a shell containing the operating licence and some buildings, comes after Lean met with creditors and declared the company insolvent.

Among the creditors are consumers who bought tickets up to January 19, when the company went into administration. Tickets bought after that date will be refunded by the administrator. Lean said he was trying to reach arrangements with other carriers to have tickets bought earlier honoured.

Great Western operated charter flights in Western Australia, mainly for the mining industry, and regular services between Adelaide and Kangaroo Island and Port Lincoln in South Australia on routes also serviced by Regional Express Airlines and Air North.

Lean said Great Western had been unable to meet its overheads of $400,000 a month.
