To all of you who are complaining about not enough news/communication from the AOA, quit complaining and get off your collective a***s and give them a phone call or send an e-mail like mature, professional that you are (or should be)! I don't know how many times I have read it here or heard it elsewhere - we (that includes the likes of krono, jagman, etc.) are the AOA. If you don't like something (or if you do happen to like even just a small bit) contact the AOA office and let them know instead of b****ing here where it does absolutely no good.

Me's thinks this is the sort of thing people are asking for. Information that is easy to find and has weekly or even daily info. My flat mate says they used to have a phone number with a recording of the weeks work and what was going on? Not just the odd email but somthing easier to find and get at? There press releases are all very good too. I understand from TALKING to the AOA that the website is going to get better. Nigel, in particular, seems very gung ho about using it.

HKer - whilst I take your point about calling the AOA, I was actually addressing a wider issue. Of course I phone them when I want to know something but when we're all in a STRATEGIC battle together, the last thing the AOA needs is 1400 people phoning up to ask the same question.
Hence my thread about communication.
We now have some so I feel encouraged. That's all I asked for so I think you could direct your rather aggressive comments elsewhere and stop trying to teach Grandma to suck eggs...

Jagman, I have to agree with you! The silence from the AOA has become almost deafening, especially in the light of CC. However I believe that Nigel takes the reins next week, so give him a week or so to settle in and then hopefully we will receive some info . Better to be published on the AOA site or by email than have 1400 people pestering the committee with basically the same requests. If you are reading this the AOA needs to push out some info ASAP as to what is happening and where we are going with all this

I think things may be progressing a little with CC. I hear our NA colleagues had a bit of a 'sick out' in YVR t'other day and caused some problems that were solved by flights departing with 3 crew back to HKG and with some of our erstwhile Senior Checkers (bless 'em) sitting in the RHS and flying as F/O's on their 'G' days (or answering phones on 'O' days) to get the flights to/from JFK.
Why do we bother if our Senior brethren have their feet in both camps like that. If the crews that flew with these guys told the AOA - at least we'd know who they are !!!
Come on chaps - gloves off NAME AND SHAME.
These scabs are EXTENDING contract compliance for their own ends - let me guess
Maybe to fly until they're 60 ???
