We are moving to Andalucía next month and would like any information about jobs at Malaga Airport. Does anyone know how to apply or where jobs are advertised?

We are looking for jobs in Operations/Handling and also within the airport fire service. We both have many years of aviation experience in the UK and have an elementary level of Spanish language.

Any help much appreciated.

Most jobs will require very high level of fluency in Spanish and English plus any other languages

The airport fire service is run by AENA the airport authority and would require total fluency in Spanish

As for handling , the best thing for you to do is leave your CV at the handling companies at the airport when you get down here

Don't expect to get a job straight away , unless you're lucky.

The other possibility is working for tour operators

Thanks, we will improve our Spanish and hope for the best!

I will take my CV to the various handling agents but do you happen to know a contact name or address for the Fire Station? It would be good to get an idea if they are prepared to recruit UK firefighters.

Does AGP have its own Airfield Operations department?

In theory, Aena will recruit any European national but you will probably find the entrance examinations different from the UK.

Almost certainly there will be written tests as well as the physical combined with the wonderful continental system of "Oposiciones" , like a civil service entrance examination but far more complicated

Have a look at the AENA web page - www.aena.es - look at the top right hand corner for the English version - There is a load of info on Malga airport and you should find contact details for AENA in Malaga
