Hi there guys, was wondering if you could help me with some questions.

In the near future I may be asked to leave Oz and head to Malaysia to do some instructing. My question relates to career progression within the country, ie are the local airlines willing to take on expats already working within the country.

The type of flying I'll be involved will obviously be s/e to start with, then building to m/e. Also if airlines aren't the answer, is there much of a regional/general aviation scene there to allow career progression?

Thanks for your help.

to be perfectly honest with you, for an expat, your future in aviation in malaysia isnt too bright. they are mostly limited to s/e flying. even those in airlines are being cheated and exploited.

being an immature industry, govt regulations still tend to favour locals.
