So how do I put 3 CD's worth of data onto one DVD. I remember having a file once that was highly compressed (think it was a .cab), and when burned to a CD with Nero - it uncompressed into a full working directory. Well how do I do the reverse and create my own single compressed file of one CD?

Much appreciated,

Maz

Err- If you want to put 3 "CD's" worth of data onto a DVD then you probably wont need to compress it at all - CD-ROM's generally hold a maximum of 700 Mb of data and your DVD ROM will hold 4.7 Gb so it should all fit nicely without further hassle ;)

I see - I have done that but what I am wondering is whether I can create these standaline files or not?

Try asking Nero to create an iso image of the CD
see this (http://www.wdvl.com/Authoring/Scripting/Tutorial/java_cab.html) for an idea on .cab files creation
