Alternatively

Take a taxi from WMSA to Kelana Jaya LRT station MYR 5 approx. (10 mins)

Kelana Jaya to KL Sentral MYR 2,70 (20 mins)

Express Rail Link (ERL) to KLIA MYR 35 (28 mins)

Total <MYR 43 = US$ 11,50

Just be aware that Sultan Ismail's directions are the reverse of what you asked, however keeeping that in mind, they are probably the best way to go, though the long way round. Getting a cab is the most direct, but a life threatening exercise with a good chance of getting ripped off if they see you don't know your way around.

Eddiedemarco,
True that Malaysian Taxi's are horrible and will probably overcharge. And the taxi touts at the KLIA are actually illegal. Anyway, you must go to the Airport Taxi Counter at the airport just after you clear customs. Here you arrange a taxi and pay at the counter to get a coupon to take outside and wait in line for a Taxi. The prices are fixed according to where you want to go. Subang Jaya from the airport which is near Subang Airport costs RM$50. So WMSA where you want to go would probably be a bit more. You can choose Limo taxi (bigger car) or Budget taxi (normal car and just as good) Go for budget I suggest. You may have to que after you take the coupon and go outside but it doesn't take long. So the airport taxi is a standard rate safe way.

Or, the way Sultan Ismail described is also an option for you.

Or, you can just talk to the taxi touts that will come up to you when you exit in to the public area. As for their price which you can negotiate to Subang Airport, I don't know at all. But good luck with them!

Thank you.....Very much QNH 1013

!The counter system is familiar and popular here in Brazil, especially here in Brazil....Taxi drivers are pretty much the same everywhere arentīt they... Like used car salesman , they are always traying to take advantage of their clients....most of all, but not all.

Have a nice one!

Yeah, I would say take the taxi. It is not that bad, but life threatening???? Probably a bit over blown and some paranoia involved.

Just pay over the counter (set price and quite cheap US$20 for a 50km++ journey) and make note of the taxi and driver's license number and when you are in the cab, pretend that you are sending a message, voice or text to a mate who is meeting you at SAAS.

Make certain that the driver is aware of that by asking the approximate time you would be getting there and ask for the taxi plate number and tell him ( in your own charming way) that you are sending that information to your mate.

Most taxi drivers will try to rip you off because they are lowly paid to begin with. Unlike the American system where you get ripped off by by tips, tips and even more tips!! And if you don't tips them enough, some will not hesitate to tell you so. Next time I fly there, I'll jump out of the seat early, run or stumble down to L2 and put my hat out for a handout. Why not!! And if they ( the travelling public) don't tip me enough, I plainly tell them that they are are stingy!! I need lots of it!!! 35Mill isn't enough!!

if you take the official budget limousine be sure that you are in a group of Three. anymore and you will have to take 2 taxis or pay for the premium service. also the group of three can carry only ONE suitcase. there is no space in the boot becos of the gas tank. more than that and you will hv to pay for the premium. this is bolehland but so many things TAK BOLEH

IltKC, if you call being put in hospital by a taxi driver paranoia, then I guess I'm paranoid, and there have been fatal accidents involving KLIA cabbies. It is however the quickest method. Up to you!

Had a near miss in SIN when the cab driver taking us to the arpt dozed off at the wheels, and we went from the slow lane across the middle to the fast lane, almost crashing to the divider. Luckily he got up in time!!!

Similar experience in LAX with our bus swaying in and out of our lane, again driver fatigue ++ going at 70mph!!

It can happen anywhere, especially when u r knackered..
