HI THERE,

Can anyone help me out with the Air Atlanta 747-200 and the 767-300 lease rates (ACMI).

Travel City have 2 aircraft on full charter lease to them but was just wondering how cheap/expensive these birds are.

Is there a big difference in rates between the 747/767, and although the 747 might be more expensive to operate, with the higher pax load, would this be more beneficial to a tour op having the 747 rather than the 767.

I presume air atlanta own quite alot of their 747's so would this make the rates cheaper at all.

Hope someone can help me out here, be interesting to know the answers to the above.

Many Thx

Not surprised that nobody has given figures here, operators guard these figures like they were the crown jewels! However while not knowing the answer myself I can say that the 747/767 ACMI rates are not too different, but exact amounts are dependent on monthly utilisation, routes flown, age of aircraft and whether or not cabin crew are included. There are quite a few variables and each case will be different. I can give a recent example for a Tri Star 500. This was $3800 per block hour for 160 hours per month, falling to $3500 for 250+ hours (without cabin crew). 767/747 will not be too much different.
If you can guarantee to fill a 747 it will be a profitable choice but if not go for something smaller. Again, every case is different so it is not possible to generalise.
