The offshore flying contract, currently held by Bristow at Norwich, comes up for grabs early 2005.
Rumour and counter rumour abound, but does anyone know what the possibilities are, if Scotia got the contract, of Nth Denes closing and the whole operation moving to Norwich?

I appreciate there are different customers involved etc, but it would make more sense for the majority of people who presently fly out of Denes to be able to depart from EGSH, especially if they are already flying in there on the fixed wing schedule services from Scotland and elsewhere.

Additionally, it would seem that the current police and heli - med service contracts based at EGSH are also up for grabs in 2005, if Bond bid for those, would they have an advantage in terms of base costs - i.e. would they be able to cost their bid on the basis of working alongside Scotia for hangerage and maintenance, or are they two totally independant companies these days?
