What would you choose, a life in the UK, 4 sectors a day or Sand city and dreamland?
Would be interesting to hear different views.
Cheers and Happy Holidays

All depends where you're coming from and what you're used to. Go to the sand box and you'll find lots of night flying, lots of time away from home but enjoy a tax free salary. But if you're bringing money back into Euros or £, then you're relying on the US$ and that tax free salary might not be all it's cracked up to be.

However, easy's not all about 4 sector days - the quality of life has got to be the bottom line. If you want to be home every night, enjoy the benefits of ever increasing stable rosters, excellent equipment (A319) and the privilige of working with an excellent group of people on the flight deck, then easy's surely the way to go. The professional standards are first class, the training too. Average working months consist of 13.5 days at work and 37.5 sectors a month. It's a breath of fresh air!

And you have to run very fast to keep up with the moving goal posts out in the desert. Things are not always what they seem. However, if the weather's what you're looking for and you want a complete change of lifestyle, EK is the only place to go. Don't try the goat up the road.

It's a no brainer. If you want a DEC then it has to be easy.
See 3polers post below.

Allegedly, EK don't need any DECs in the short/medium term.

Good luck :ok:
