Wrapped prezzies on flights?

Hey y'all.

Is it ok to take wrapped presents on intercontinental flights at christmas or will I unpack my luggage to find festive sweaters and socks everywhere? Presents will be in checked luggage, no crackers etc.

Never been a problem for me (Can - UK).

No problems last year with wrapped pressies in hold luggage UK to US and back with a new set of pressies.

Obvioulsy not such a good idea in hand luggage. :D
