Hi all,
I've decided to take the plunge and persue a career in aviation! Limited funds (but masses of determination) means one step at a time so.....
I'm looking to commence a JAR PPL(H) course in early 2005. Has anyone trained in Florida with Orlando Flight Training (www.flyoft.com) - they offer the FAA PPL(H) and then a 'conversion' course as follows:
Weekend FAA to JAA conversion course if required
- 3 hrs R22 Cabair Flying Schools
- Incorporated FAA/JAA differences plus "Flying in UK/Europe" differences
- 2 hrs skill test
- Aircraft rental for skill test
£ 1495
They make no mention of the JAR ground study. I presume I would need to sit both the FAA and JAR exams to do my PPL this way? It'd be nice to have 2 licenses for the price of one...assuming it's all above board of course!
Where might I find the 'official' requirements for FAA to JAR PPL conversion?
Many thanks...
