A very personal (and selfish !) question for you :

Supposed to cross the North Atlantic later today from the US East Coast to the UK.

How are turbulence conditions up there ?

I saw on the Turbulence Forecast that it was quite active BLO 360. It also looks like tail winds will be strong... which will get us there faster.

All input appreciated.

Looking at the midnight GMT sig weather chart it shows a strong jet starting at about 55W, the jet core forecast 48N50W, 55N40W, 56N30W, 56N20W, max speed 190kts (that is fast for the Atlantic).

I would imagine eastbounds tonight would pick up the jet and result in very quick flights across the pond!

The jet is deep also, the core at FL350, but extending from the low 20's to FL450! Turbulence is forecast to be light, no worse.

Good luck

Just arrived back from ORD it was a little bit shakey, but nothing worth noting except the departure and climb out of ORD was one of the smoothest I've ever had. Have a great flight. :ok:
