Looking to get away for New Year's Eve (price sensitive!) to somewhere different in Europe from PIK and Neiderrhein is showing at a good price.

Question is, what is there close by (Dusseldorf?) and what is the airport called now?

Anyone have any exerience of this place?

Cheers.

Niederrhein, not Neiderrhein.
at the Moment there is a lot of action in the "Oberlandesgericht Köln" (a federal state court) going on between Düsseldorf-International and Niederrhein, which has tried to change ist name to 1. Airport Düsseldorf Prefecture Weeze and 2. Airport Düsseldorf Regional (Weeze).
Both namechanges were stopped by Düsseldorf-International with a court order, saying this irritates the customer, because Düsseldorf is 70 km away and therefore should not be allowed to use the word Düsseldorf in its name.

Look on the Ryanair website ubder destinations and when the route map opens click on Neiderrhein. This allows access to the destination information. Hope this helps.
