Is this a new airline, web site under construction (see link below) and a/c painted in paint scheme (see Link below). What are the airlines routes, charter or scheduled?

Apologies if already been discussed

Due to start ops in January. Serving all the holiday spots around Europe. The ex monarch A320 is sitting outside Shannon aerospace at the moment. Best of luck to them!

Yep, saw an Eirjet A320 parket at a finger at aera c of Dublin airport this morning around 6.30 am while awaiting my flight to TLS.
Here's hoping this isn't another jetgreen, jetmagic...
Given that their web site isn't up and running yet and that they appear to have commenced operations, I take these are charter flights so so far...
HAPPY 2005 to all.

As an air traffiker I can see the potential for callsign confusion here ...EIN 102/EIR102.....P'raps I am wrong and they are seperated by time

Well, on the R/T EIN is "Shamrock" while EIR is "Eirjet", so that is quite a distinction. Otherwise surely there should not be any greater issue than there already is vis-a-vis airlines with similar three-letter codes, e.g. BAG/BAW, BMA/BMI, EZS/EZY, to name but a few?

If the actual numbers conflict - not an unusual occurrence in Irish airspace, with Ryanair and Aer Lingus already having several similar sequences of flight numbers - then it would seem preferable to use alpha-numeric versions of some for ATC purposes.

Liffy ...obvously you don't have to work in an environment where we try to ELIMINATE potential confusion...if you are reading off a strip it is very easy to mis ident similar callsigns ...hence the need in the past for callsigns such as BMA1Xf ...as opposed to BMA 81 ....we in NATS have to bring to the attention of operators ALL potential callsign confusion ......anyways ..back to the thread:ok:

Eastern wiseguy, I do of course defer to the experts in the field. I am a mere observer, albeit over period of 30 or so years.

However I did note that already similar three-letter codes are allotted to companies in the same general area - BMA/BMI being a case in point. Maybe there is a case for discouraging this if it's felt to be a significant issue.

Liffey ...I couldn't agree more ...my own bete noire is EZE eastern and EZY easy ...go figure!!:ok:

I know in my own company due to the potential for confusion on the airwaves we have now adopted alpha numeric callsigns. For example, on flights to EDI the last digit of the flight number is replaced with 'E', Manchester 'M' and Dublin 'W' . . . (Can't remember why that was) . . .

*Edited for my usual dodgy spelling, magnified by working the graveyard shift*

Do Eirjet only fly the one aircraft? I've noticed it (EI-DIJ A320) operating for Aer Arran out of Cork to B'ham.

Does anyone know if these guys have a tour operator behind them or is it all ad-hoc?

Cheers.

There is some link to Omni Travel.

There is also some extensive flying for another tour operator, Sunway - mainly destinations to Croatia, Romania.... for summer 2005.
