As Skyways are phasing out their Embraer 145s (one leased to Eastern, one sold in the US so far), anybody know what their plans are for the future international flights?

It has been rumoured that they are looking at Fokker100s (plenty of them about at the moment) to operate the flights but it has also been rumoured that SAS will take over the Birmingham flight (who Skyways currently codeshare with).

Any news or gossip?

What are their UK and European routes?

Currently just Birmingham - Stockholm. They did previously operate to Manchester but I think SAS took the route on.

Skyways operates mainly on the Swedish Domestic network with a few international routes.
They reported yesterday a 10% cut in their routes.
This means about 14 routes, not yet named.

Skyways CEO says in an interview that lay-offs will be one of the effects.

What is new is that he do not blaim: Nine-eleven, Iraq conflict, Bird flue, high fuel prices and/or low cost competition.
He just tells the true story: Bad yield!
