Any ideas why BA has made such a mess of introducing its "New" Club World product to its entire longhaul fleet? The first route was LHR-JFK in 1999......and there are a lot of a/c out there (777s and 767s) that MAY get the "new" seats ...eventually! Not a serious matter for crew, but pretty sh*te for passengers really. You can pay thousands to travel J and end up with a seat first sat in back in the early 90s!

Most are at LGW. However, there are a few 767s i think still flying around. Like every airline as big as BA, it will take time, patience and money for the whole fleet to be changed.

Jerrystinger - have you been rejected at The Rivers recently? Just wondering, given your seemingly icy stance toward BA in general today. :p

Anyway, in answer to your question, you have to remember that we have around 110 aircraft serving our longhaul routes and with this number of aircraft processes take quite some time to filter through. However, ALL 747-400's and LHR-based 777's are now 'Dusked' (i.e. fitted with Club World flat-beds and World Traveller Plus) and the few remainig LGW-based 777's to be 'Dusked' are due to be completed by January.
Up until recently, the company wasn't sure if the 767 was going to remain with us, so they decided not to fork out the money and 'Dusk' our 767 fleet as the RAF had tentatively agreed to purchase them for conversion into airbourne tankers. However, this deal fell-through as they chose the Airbus 330 instead. Now the decision has been made that the 767 will remain with British Airways for the forseeable future and subsequently the process of bringig this aircraft into line with the rest of the World Wide Fleet will commence next month and be completed by the end of the summer.

'Nuff said.
