Unless I've misunderstood something, it appears that the British Grand Prix and the Goodwood Festival of Speed are now to take place on the same weekend (10th July).

Now what happens ?

.... presumably with both about 20 - 30% down on attendances, which will jeopardise the future of both (in particular the Festival of Speed)

New 5 year deal signed for Britsh GP.

Last time I was at the Festival of Speed it was completely packed, everybody paying anything from 40 to god-knows-what to get in, and Lord March hosts it in his front garden. Don't see how it would become threatened...

Oh, and I'd go to Goodwood given the choice, no question. Except there'd be no current F1 cars of course...

At least at the festival of speed there is something to do. It's a great day out and the good ol' red arrows too. B*****ks to the GP, I half wish we had lost it, been once and was a total disappointment.:ok:
