WEll, my 200LX has finally died....

I've inherited my spouse's former toy, a Palm OS (5.0) unit. Now I've got to make it useful.
Any comments suggestions appreciated. I don't need a moving map, but want:
Full "E6B" calculations;
Easily updatable database;
Lots of user waypoints and notes;
Add notes to imported airports;
W&B integral, mulitiple aircraft, customized.

Comments and experience with various software also appreciated.

P.S. I've only had this thing a day or so, and I'm astounded that there doesn't seem to be a database app onboard, although the contacts, phone, or whatever you call it, has to be basically such...

Gosh- color, Bluetooth! This is going to interfere with a lot of work.

Sorry canīt help out with Palm OS.

I have a HP Ipaq with windows Pocket PC OS and use a Bluetooth GPS with Ozi mapping software.

It also has Excel to use for CG calculations, but best of all is the Pocket DVD wizard to watch DVDīs on those long waits that always happen :ok:

Check out www.download.com and search for E6B in "downloads". I'm attaching the link from the search I did. Several to choose from. Some free to try.

I use FlightPal on my Palm Tungsten. It comes with an international database and does everything I need.

The absolute best Palm program is Copilot (http://www.handango.com/PlatformProductDetail.jsp?productId=23433). Worldwide databases for it are available at the Copilot Waypoint Generator (http://navaid.com/CoPilot/). I've tried lots of programs, including FlyByNavPro, but Copilot is the best, and it's freeware. It does everything you want, and more.
