How long does it take to acquire?
Time after sending in application and doing all the finger print stuff.

Are you a Hong Kong resident? If you are it takes 7 years to get Permanent Residency as long as you have actually been residing here most of the time.

My parents were Hong Kong citizens at the time of my birth. I was planning on applying for it here in Canada and was wondering how long the process took. Anybody have any ideas?

Normally, it takes about 6-8 weeks, excluding the delivery time.
