German business daily Handelsblatt reports (Friday edition) that Cirrus Group (based in Saarbrucken SCN/EDDR, owners of Cirrus Airlines, C9) have taken over Augsburg Airways. Augsburg were previously owned by the Haindl family - they started out as the Haindl Group's corporate flying division 25 years or so ago. Augsburg are a member of "Lufthansa Regional", while Cirrus aren't, although they do codeshare with LH on some German routes as well as on LCY - MUC.

Isn't Cirrus divided into several different groups? Is there the Airline section which operates Do328, DHC8 & ERJ145 then an executive flight which operates Do328 & several Learjets?

Quite correct. "Airlines" is the big boys (er... 'big' means anything with +30 seats), "aviation" is executive flights, "Technik" does maintenance, and then there's "Flight Training", a flying school, too.
Augsburg Airways will not be merged with Cirrus, and will continue to exist as a subsidiary.
