At this stage the answer to your question is no. British Airways CitiExpress will be run as an entirely separate company, and there are no plans for the seniority list within BACE to allow direct access to BA mainline. However, it has already started happening with CityFlyer Express, so in 4-5 years, you never know.

As regards why it will be a positive move, we now will have the financial backing of BA, and as we operate smaller aircraft than BA mainline or BA Regional, we can make certain routes profitable which our bigger brothers can't. Generally the feeling within the new company is quite optimistic already.

Hope that answers your question.

:D

RM, every one of your comments were also told to CityFlyer staff during late 1999, and look what happened less than a year later. (and turned a 1st quarter profit of £5M to a £7M loss 12 months later). An outstanding achievement.

When it suits them (BA) they will turn everything inside out and upside down and do the opposite.

Never has there been a more dishonest, immoral organisation.

Tread with great care.

Interesting comments, topman..... I don't know, BASE now defunct and now BACE, CityFlyer Express (nearly) defunct and now Citi Express..... All a bit confusing to say the least.

Soon we'll have British Seasonal Airlines, Buyone BA and Mursk.....!?
