Hello Everyone,

I just have a couple of questions for those in the U.S. that have ever attended a flight academy. I plan on attending Delta Connections academy or Pan Am as soon as I'm finished with my military obligation. I will hopefully have at least my associates by the time I separate.

The big hang ups I have with the academies are financing and my family. I know that the household still has to be taken care of.

Some of the questions I have are as follows:

How would one be able to finance flight school and keep the household going at the same time?

How long would it take once one graduates from the academy to be hired by the airlines?

Is there anyone out there that has successfully graduated from an academy such as Pan Am or Delta Connections and were able to keep the house hold going? And If so, how did you do it?

I sold my house and traded down to an appartment. Made about £90k on the deal. Plus I got a lush appartment too. Very happy with it but I don't have any kids.
