It is all swings and roundabouts - you win some and you lose some. By the way, you forgot ORK-LGW which is due to finish at end January, 2005 when EZY starts double daily to Cork. BHX-ORK will make up for it so no lessening of the WW show at Cork! ;)

Why oh why do people spend so much time knocking Baby?

If you look at almost every airline they have pulled off routes because they aren't successful. Surely this is better than continuing those routes and going bust?

Baby is profitable at present, enough said!

alterego, perhaps you would like to qualify your statement or at least point us towards a source of the information you have. bmi baby accounts have not been posted this year as the group claimed an exemption under section 249AA(I) of the Companies Act 1985. Perhaps your statement is based on a 'hunch' which is fair enough. My 'hunch' is that at best bmi baby is making a loss and it is about to find the going considerably more difficult, especially in MAN as easyjet move in.

Sir Michael was quoted in the press as saying Baby's profitability had helped reduce the groups losses.

Tony Davis has said similar that's all I know.
