I was going to post this in the Australian forum, but I figured, why should they have all the fun?

I am a lonely Delaine Merino, who's just dying to meet the right partner. I am a Heavy Type, but then again most of us Delaines are. As you can see, I vary between Smooth and Nearly Smooth, depending on my mood. My fleece is dense, even and fine, AND two inches at the shortest for a year's growth, (and I KNOW you all love to hear that).

Write to me and maybe we'll chew our cud together.

Hi. I'm the tall one just to the left of centre. I might not have any horn, but I'm sure the same won't be said for you. I'm a pure bred Merino who's easy to handle at shearing and crutching time. I might be large framed and plain bodied, but, I mature quickly. Watch out though, because I'm known to be highly fertile.

Here's a pikki of my and my girlfriends on holiday in NSW. We live in WA and I love the hot, dry, semi-arid areas of Australia. I'm an easy care kind of gal and as well as a lot of lovin', I can give you up to eight kilograms of fleece.

Here I am posing with my last beau. You can see where his priorities lay (It's not my fault my rough large ears stick out so far), but I have to draw the line somewhere. After all, I can trace my family lineage back to 16th century Germany. My ancestor Zaupelschaf had to escape the Lower Rhine region because the townspeople thought she was inferior. We persevered and now everyone wants us for our ability to preserve landscape. I just want to settle down, so if you have an errosion problem, maybe I'm the frauline you've been searching for.

Why don't you check out my large frame and straight head, you'll find out the wooly tuft on top is very soft of those cold winter nights.

Re. Polly and Trixie, double-date.

We didn't quite hit it off together. Which is a shame because they were really a couple of very tasty birds... :=
