AACS the Atlas crew base at STN is cutting Ops staff and losing control of their crews to the States! With GSS the new UK outfit due to start Ops with 2 x 744's on Atlas's BA contract very soon, it seems the next chapter of this long drawn out saga is upon us.. .Hope those affected find new positions quickly

Having contacted an acquanintaance employed by AACS, he informed me that the company is not contracting, but in fact is in the process of applying for work permits for a further 21 non nationals.. .As I, and hundreds of other EU nationals are presently existing on State unemployment benefits how can the British Government possibly consider the issue of work permits in the current circumstances, and within the statuary legalization. Would these permits be issued in any other EU Country?.

G WIZZ check your facts - your way off. AACS is actually expanding and control stays in STN. End of the beginning and more to come for the next phase.

Good.... have always thought that AACS was a fine idea. Anything to stick a knife in ALPO. 'Ole Bud Maytag (National Airlines) was right...let 'em pound sand.

While defending the individual pilots that accepted employment at AACS, no plan or idea that is implemented to undermine the livelihood/job security of the very emplyoees that helped build the airline is a good idea
