Spent a couple of hours at Waddo yesterday, got to see the Shars,F16s and Mirages so I'm kinda pleased about that.
Got loads of photos and video here are a few of the photos.

For some reason I could not get decent photos of stuff landing as it was just above the road on finals, but by going to the smaller fence, I got some nice photos of stuff landing.

Btw if the bloke I was talking to about Sea Kings just after 13.30 is reading this then I hope you got your serial numbers. I was the one in the red top and black hat and black tracky bottoms.

Good stuff - thanks. Good to see 801 keeping busy. What is the exercise? No F3s?

Just a standard mutual ACMI session I believe.

As this was probably the last ACMI detachment at Waddington (Exercise NOMAD has been cancelled next year) I made the effort and visited on Thurs 25/11 also.

Superb low level run & break by the Sea Harriers - top stuff!

Glad you enjoyed the photos, the Shars left on Friday and I believe the F-16s also left.

The Mirages are their until December.

What no Nimrod or Sentinal?

PS, I here the small fence used to be larger!! The smaller fence is only there thanks to a Mirage!!

Any truth?

Presumably the photos are related to this. (http://www.navynews.co.uk/articles/2005/0501/0005012401.asp)

Navy News quote:

"Belgian Air Force F16s and two squadrons of French Air Force Mirage 2000s chased the Sea Harriers across the skies..."
