Everything I have seen says October 2004. Given that that is come and gone, who could say? Looking at the amount of work needed, I think their time scale was extremely optimistic. I've seen pics of a completed terminal and helipad, but the runway was still a rocky mud-strewn mess. I also hear dark rumours of money disappearing...:(

Winn Air have been making practice approaches - whats going on there?

WM(Winair) sent a DHC6 down to make some simulated approaches into Geralds Airport to get familiar with the surounding terrain and approach, we intend to make more proving runs once the runway is paved and open for fixed wing ops.
