Hi all

Is there any software that can present my flights I have logged in my garmin 196.
I would like to see my flights plotted both horizontally and vertically.

I would also like to get some tips about the best GPS management software.

Thanks..

The Mapsource software that comes with the kit does an acceptable job, but as far as i can tell, it doesn't give vertical readouts. Just the tracks of each flight in 2-D.

Not sure if it's the right forum for this kind of discussions, and the subject has already been discussed somewhere else.

However, I'm not too grumpy tonight, so before that self-appointed feline vigilante wakes up, here is a link (http://www.pprune.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=131628&highlight=coutraci) ;)

I planned a nice little route from Tenerife through Morocco to Spain on my Pilot III,for a ferry flight I was supposed to do, and being a nice a proper pilot I downloaded the latest database update from Garmin and it consequently deleted all my info on the Canaries and Morocco that was already in there..thank you YOU B#####ds!

I don't know, you are the one who should know (maybe you even have the manual ;) ).

As seen here (http://www.discountpilotsupply.com/productpages/garmin/garmin-gpsmap-196-case.html) it's supposed to display it so it probably logs it too.
