Anyone know if AIP/Jepps Specify max angles of bank for turns and or /holding patterns for instrument ratings?

AIP ENR 1.5.3.2.1(d) (http://www.airservices.gov.au/pilotcentre/aip/aip/enr/15739.pdf)

All turns in nil wind should be at a bank angle of 25 degrees or Rate One, whichever requires the lesser bank.

Sorry I can't make the link more specific but for me it's on page 15 of 33!!

Thanks! Exactly what i was after.

Another Question...is there a limit on AoB for general cruise other than holds and SIDs STARs?

60 degrees...after that it's aerobatics!

Just to pick up on a point that's quite important for SID's & approaches:

Upper limits on AoB (and other variables) are usually specified in the flight manual of the aircraft.

Lower limits on AoB (and ROC for example) are usually specified in the procedure design rules - the AIP reference above for example.

Perhaps the short answer for blueloo is no, usually they do not specify maximum angles of bank. Usually they specify minimum angles of bank.

Cheers,

(Edit - holding patterns and reversal turns have a timing element - so the AoB in holds is a recommended value, not a minimum. Awaiting correction as always... :) )

Minimum AoB may be specified for a particular procedure, such as Cairns 6 SID runway 15 (http://www.airservicesaustralia.com/pilotcentre/aip/dap/BCSDP02-100.PDF).

Another maximum AoB to be remembered is the curved departure procedure for transport category aircraft, specifying a maximum 15 degree AoB for a departure that involves a heading change , see paragraph 12.1 of CAO 20.7.1B (http://www.casa.gov.au/download/orders/Cao20/200701b.pdf) .

With reference to the basic rule "turns in nil wind be max AoB 25 degrees or rate one, whichever is less...." don't forget the in nil wind part. That gives you the latitute to increase AoB if a stiff breeze is pushing you around the base turn, should you need it.
