Does your airline still issue a 'Mayfly' to the tech crew?
Do you feel that this is no longer a requirement in today's
technology and that it is just an antique that's been left
around from the 70's and 80's?

Some pilots think that it is a vital piece of information,
despite it being only as accurate as the last time that it was updated,
and may be full of errors anyway, and that information that is
more accurate and less time consuming to prepare and update is readily available.

I'm interested in all arguments, for and against the continuation,
or scrapping of the Mayfly, provided that the criticism is positive.
OK, I'll accept the negative as well...:uhoh:

Thanks

A decidedly iffy document at the best of times IMHO. As you say JBF, only up to date at the moment the print key was hit. Two or three diferent ones in the system at the same time, especially in a larger fleet, and the possibilities of getting bit in the bum are quite substantial. :bored:

Mayfly.........waste of time. Where I work,at the end of the day we are on issue 1million due to a/c changes and especially this time of year,diversions etc etc;

What about a hand held radio to annoy station??!!
