Airline is planning to launch Berlin-Istanbul, any more info?

Sounds like it could be a good move for easyJet - Germany, Berlin in particular, has a very large Turkish population, so there may well be some money to be made!

Cant see it happening myself, Easyjet would need approval on fares and operations from both Germany and Turkey as Turkey are not EU members and not in an Openskies agreement with the EU.

Aren't there already other loco's going into Istanbul "2". Don't have OAG to hand, but it's a new airport on the Eastern side of the city.

The market for Turkey to/from Germany is much larger than from the UK, and remember that SXF is already a good way East, so sector length would be more appealing too.

Ray has also recently commented about doing more in a year at SXF than they did in 3 in Paris, so surely Istanbul would be a logical step forward in these growth plans?
