Travelling CDG to GCI via SOU do you have to pay the airport tax in Southampton. I do know (but have to admit this was a few years ago) that if you were in transit within 24 hours you didn't have to pay the tax. The flights I am after will be direct connections.

I believe the trouble is that one has to book with the individual airlines these days as there appear to be no through fares.

Also apart from Air France and Flybe has anyone any idea of an alternative CDG/GCI as the BA flight from Paris to Gatwick is no more.

I am fed up with being taken for a ride with these airlines. I have been told that the cost CDG/SOU/GCI return will be in excess of £300 and that is not a flexible ticket!!

Can't comment on the fares, but http://www.itn.net only throws up two routings which don't involve moving between different London airports: the one you have and via BRS on BA/Aurigny.

Train/drive from Paris, then the Aurigny service from Dinard to Guernsey
